History is a tapestry woven from many threads, and the story of WLCJ is incomplete without the vibrant threads of Black history.
This month, we recognize the Black Americans who changed our collective history, both the icons we see in our textbooks and the unsung heroes whose strides were just as vital.
But this recognition belongs not solely to February; it belongs to every day of the year. Just as women's history is Jewish history, Black history is American history and an integral part of the WLCJ story.
Our sisters are not a monolith. We are enriched by the fact that our members bring their whole selves to our community, strengthening us with diverse traditions, perspectives, and spirit.
